Role:  As a Lighting Specialist, you will be responsible for growing the Lester Sales lighting business. You will regularly make joint sales calls with Outside Salespeople, visiting end users and distributors. You will consult Inside Sales regarding specific lighting opportunities. Your leadership will promote the growth of Lester Sales’ vendors in our markets. You will build meaningful relationships with vendor personnel, Inside Sales, Outside Sales, Directors, and Vice Presidents. You will be primarily responsible for the Opportunity Management portion of the Lester Sales Process and contribute heavily toward the Quotation portion.

Status: Full time

Responsibilities:

  • Meets or exceeds sales goals as established by Vice President/Directors
  • Develops sales strategies and business plans that will create new, profitable lighting opportunities
  • Travels with Outside Salespeople to end users, distributors, and contractors in a targeted, systematic manner; produces a consistent opportunity pipeline
  • Manages Lester Sales Lighting vendor pipelines
  • Establishes and nurtures relationships with vendor’s key personnel
  • Advises Inside Sales concerning lighting products and applications
  • Expands product and application knowledge by participating in trainings
  • Expands knowledge by participating in educational opportunities
  • Enhances the Lester Sales brand by presenting themself in a professional manner
  • Implements Sandler sales skills and the Lester Sales’ process

Qualifications:

  • Willingness to travel 50%, or more, throughout territory
  • High school diploma or equivalent; Bachelor degree preferred
  • Five years of experience in a customer-facing lighting sales role (business to business)
  • Good driving record, able to meet Lester Sales driving qualifications
  • Must successfully complete pre-employment testing

As a Contractor Salesperson, you will be responsible for cultivating and securing business within your assigned territory. You will regularly visit commercial, industrial and residential contractors to promote Lester Sales’ vendor partner’s products and solutions.  You will also develop and maintain relationships with specifiers to expedite the flow of project business. You will build meaningful relationships with vendor personnel, Inside Sales, Post-Sales Support, Directors, and Vice Presidents. You will be primarily responsible for the Opportunity Management portion of the Lester Sales Process and contribute heavily toward the Quotation portion.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Visits contractors and specifying engineers within territory in a targeted, systematic manner; enhances and expands opportunities within the CRM
  • Maintains list of local construction projects and developments
  • Establishes and nurtures relationships with vendor’s key personnel
  • Travels with vendor personnel to key contractors in territory
  • Collaborates with Outside Sales to secure orders
  • Expands product and application knowledge by participating in trainings
  • Enhances the Lester Sales brand by presenting themself in a professional manner
  • Implements Sandler sales skills and the Lester Sales’ process
  • Contributes daily to Lester Sales and vendor pipelines

Role:  As an Inside Salesperson, you will be responsible for growing sales on behalf of our vendor partners as well as developing the Lester Sales brand among our customer base. You will work in conjunction with Outside Sales and Directors to help customers discover solutions for their product applications; you’ll also work with Post-Sales Support to ensure timely delivery and customer satisfaction. You will be primarily responsible for the Quotation portion of the Lester Sales Process and contribute heavily toward the Opportunity Management and Post Sale portions.

Status:  Full time

Responsibilities:

  • Meets or exceeds sales goals as established by Inside Sales Manager/Directors
  • Serves customers by answering technical product questions; finds solutions to fit the appropriate application
  • Actively sells complimentary products; regularly asks customer “what else?” during quotation process
  • Upsells products and services
  • Participates in stock and project quotations; gathers information to prepare the bids/buys
  • Communicates with manufacturers to ensure proper procedures are followed and all pricing updates are in place
  • Expands product and application knowledge by participating in educational opportunities
  • Enhances organization reputation by accepting ownership for accomplishing new and unusual requests; explores opportunities to add value to job accomplishments
  • Develops meaningful relationships with customers to encourage trust and loyalty; some travel is required
  • Improves Sandler sales skills to increase sales success rate
  • Contributes daily to Lester Sales and vendor pipelines

Role: As Post-Sales Support, you will guide our customers from order entry through complete shipment. Your goal is to create a positive customer experience by communicating in a timely, accurate manner with customers, Inside Sales, Outside Sales, Warehouse personnel, and Directors. You will be primarily responsible for the Post Sale management portion of the Lester Sales Process.

Status: Full time

Responsibilities:

  • Enters and processes incoming customer orders in a timely manner
  • Communicates with customer on all order updates (tracking and backorders) until order is completely shipped
  • Logs all customer order updates in CRM
  • Supports inside salespeople with communication to warehouse regarding orders shipped out of our warehouses
  • Communicates with vendors to ensure proper order entry & accuracy for billing and monthly reconciliation
  • Enters and processes customer return requests or address any quality issues that need to be communicated with manufacturer.
  • Maintains up to date pricing in CRM database
  • Expands knowledge by participating in educational opportunities
  • Enhances organization reputation by accepting ownership for accomplishing new and different requests; explores opportunities to add value to job accomplishments
  • Sends price increases/price files to customers
  • Answers phones and direct calls to appropriate party
  • Tracks and reconciles daily UPS/Freight charges
  • Actively promotes and onboards customer to EDI (electronic ordering)
